At Belmont Auto Electrics, we use the top of the range automatic A/C service station, so if any problems, leaks or items of concern appear we will inspect and report to the vehicle owner. Majority of Car air conditioning faults or failures can be rectified in the same day.

Air Conditioning Servicing

Belmont Auto Electrics measure the pressures in the system, Then we recover the refrigerant and vacuum the system down to a very low pressure, to remove any moisture that might be present.

We then Re- Gas with refrigerant R134a and add a measured amount of the correct type of lubricant for your air conditioning system.

We then test your car systems coolness with thermometers placed in your vehicles dash vents. We also check thermo fan and clutch fans for correct operation.

Ultra Violet dye can be added to the air condition system to help find any leaks that may develop in the future.

Specialist equipment is needed, most importantly the refrigerant present in the system must be recovered. Under Australian laws to protect the environment, It is Illegal to release the refrigerant from your vehicles air conditioning system into the atmosphere.

The Australian licensing system ensures that only a licensed technician is allowed to service the vehicle’s AC systems. The system is also under high pressure and needs pulling into a deep vacuum to remove any moisture.

Air conditioning refrigerants have a very low boiling point and will cause burns if they come into contact with skin or eye tissue.

To keep your air conditioning in top shape during the winter period, it is advised to run the air conditioning system refrigerant which carries the oil that lubricates your cars air compressor and internal components.
